Share Your Arrested Development Story
I remember way back in the summer of 2007 when my friend from Florida (I live in New Jersey) came up to visit and said “Have you heard of Arrested Development?” At the time I was familiar with the show, I knew that it aired on fox and I knew some of the actors who were in it but I never watched it. In fact, I really didn’t watch any television.
“You gotta watch it, it’s probably the funniest show I have ever seen.” he said. That stuck in my mind for a while. I always take recommendations from my best friends. My other friend told me to watch “Lost” and now I’m super addicted.
One lazy morning I was flipping through the channels and landed on G4. It turned out they were playing a marathon of Arrested Development and I was currently watching the first three minutes of the pilot. At that very moment I decided to watch and didn’t stop until they played through the entire first season. I was HOOKED!
Later that evening I went and bought all three seasons on DVD and did a mini marathon myself. Needless to say I got nothing else done.
I have since watched the entire series 5 times from beginning to end and have gotten 10 of my other friends addicted to it as well.
I invite you to share your Arrested Development discovery story with the world and sign the petition (If you haven’t already) to get this movie made. We deserve it.

It was the beginning of the third season of Arrested Development. A few of my friends at school started a new club called AD Awareness. The purpose: to make sure more people know about Arrested Development, in hopes that its third season would not be its last. I went to the first meeting, which was basically just watching episodes for a few hours, and was hooked. I went through the first two seasons after that, and continued to watch the third season on TV until the season finale came along. Not only have I gotten about 15-20 people hooked with the show, but I have yet to have anyone I have told not like it, and have vowed that if I have a friend who does not like the show I would really need to reconsider our friendship.

While AD was on the air I had refused to watch it, I don’t think I full understood the show. It took until a year after it was canceled that I finally realized how brilliant it actually was. My friends still make fun of me for liking AD after being so vocal about disliking it earlier, they will never let me live it down (perhaps nor should they).
Now whenever I meet anyone else who is a fan of the show we seem to immediately hit it off and become instant friends (this of course after a solid five minutes of just quoting the show). Its amazing how much people love this show and how much it brings them together. I know that’s cliche and perhaps a bit silly, but its true. And one final thing, every fan wants the movie to come out and it comes up every time I talk to anyone about AD

My AD story started back in 2006. I had heard the show mentioned by a few friends who were constantly quoting it to each other. I also remember seeing an Entertainment Tonight segment about the newest episode of Arrested Development. I thought, due to the title and talk of prison and such that it was a show that parodied CSI and Law and Order. A few months later a good friend of mine asked me if I’d ever seen the show and I told him I hadn’t. He had the first and third seasons on DVD and he popped in the first DVD of season one and we watched the extended pilot. I loved it and I asked if I could borrow the first season. He did, and I devoured it in mere days. Soon after I bought all the DVDs and now I am a HUGE fan.
